The Globe Pub opened in August 2004, with four TVs and four large screens, just in time for the Community Shield that year.  Our objective was and still is to be the best bar to watch International Sports in Chicago.

Our beer list had humble beginnings but has grown to be one of the most expansive in the city, with 45 draft lines and an extensive bottled and canned beers.

In April 2018, we closed the bar completely and did a full remodel on our 100 year old building. Included in this are upgrades to the original space, technology, new bathrooms, a brand new kitchen and a 54 foot bar, one of the longest in the city.  We also revamped our menu with a focus on fresh made, from scratch, items that include classic sports bar fare like burgers and wings while staying true to our English roots with favorites like our Full Fry Up and Fish & Chips.  We’ve also been featured on Chicago’s Best for our Bangers and Mash.  We reopened on June 8, 2018, six days before the World Cup kicked off.

We do a variety of events throughout the year but most notable is our  6pm toast on New Year’s Eve, to coincide with the midnight festivities in the UK and Ireland.

We sponsor numerous recreational sports teams and have won a variety of awards including Best Pub Quiz for 11 years in a row, Best Soccer Pub in the US by the US Soccer Federation, and Best sports Bar in America by Nightclub & Bar Magazine.
